Todd Allen
Todd Allen is an award winning Comedian and Writer from Vancouver, BC. His comedy has best been described by the Georgia Straight Newspaper as “real life stories, laced with gut-wrenching punchlines.”
Todd has shared his unique brand of comedy on: The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on CBS, Montreal’s Just For Laughs, Comedy Now on CTV and the Comedy Network, the Halifax and Vancouver Comedy Festivals (6 times), Best in Canadian Stand-Up Tour with Brent Butt, Madly Off in All Directions, So You Think You’re Funny, XM Radio, and more.
He performs regularly at colleges and clubs around the country and for corporate events. Some of his past corporate clients include: Island Farms, Cattermole Timber, New Car Dealers Association, University of British Columbia, The Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce, and Chevron Canada.
In 2008, Todd’s one-man show “Who the Hell is Todd Allen?” debuted at the Vancouver Fringe Festival to rave reviews and packed houses, and is now touring theatres from coast to coast. He also opens regularly for Bob Saget.
Todd has appeared in the ABC television show Men in Trees, written a recurring comedy column in 24-Hour newspaper and worked as a writer for This Hour Has 22 Minutes on CBC television. He is a regular host and creator for CBC Radio comedy shows. In 2008, he won a WGC Screen Writers Award for his work on “22 Minutes.”
Currently he is living in Los Angeles, working on a comedy game show with the Merv Griffin Company that he created and sold to them.
